Coated Aluminum Foils

In these foil lids, a heat-activated coating is applied to the aluminum bottom surface, which allows it to seal to polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) containers. In coated foils used for consumer safety, this coating has two separate functions. The first is to seal the lid to the bottom container, and the second is to prevent the aluminum from coming into contact with the product inside the container.

Coated foils are activated at the appropriate temperature by a thermal heat head and seal to the container mouth.
